Boudoir FAQ
Your questions, answered — so you can focus on feeling amazing.
What should I wear?
Anything that makes you feel confident and beautiful. Some clients choose lingerie, others love a cozy sweater, a bodysuit, or a flowing sheet. You can bring options — we’ll help you select what photographs best. You can wear, or not wear, literally anything that feels right for you.

I’m nervous about my body — can you pose me to look my best?
Yes! We guide you every step of the way — from the way you hold your hands to the angle of your chin. You don’t need any experience in front of a camera. We’ll show you how to highlight your natural shape with flattering poses and lighting that celebrates you.

Do I have to be nude?

Absolutely not. You are in full control of what you wear and how much you show. Boudoir is about empowerment, not exposure. Some sessions are fully clothed and sensual in tone; others are more revealing — both are equally beautiful.

Do you edit or retouch images?
Yes, gently and respectfully. We smooth lighting, color, and minor distractions but never change what makes you unique. The goal is to enhance, not alter, your natural beauty.

Stepping into a boudoir session can feel exciting — and maybe a little uncertain — especially if it’s your first time. That’s perfectly normal. This experience is all about you — feeling confident, beautiful, and empowered in your own skin. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions clients ask before their session, to help you feel completely at ease and ready to create something unforgettable.
Who will be in the studio during my session?
Only the people you’re comfortable with. Typically, it’s just you and your photographer. If you’d like a friend, partner, or our female team member present for support, that’s always an option.

Do you provide hair and makeup?
Yes, for an additional fee. We work with trusted local artists who specialize in natural, camera-ready looks. Professional styling helps you relax and feel pampered before your shoot.

Can I bring a friend for support?
Yes, but we recommend keeping your session space calm and distraction-free. If a friend helps you feel confident, they’re welcome — we’ll make sure everyone in the room supports your experience.

Can I bring ideas or inspiration photos?
Absolutely! Many clients bring screenshots, Pinterest boards, or notes. We’ll use them as inspiration to create something that reflects you — not a copy, but your own vision.

Can I do my own hair and makeup?
Of course. Some clients love the ritual of preparing themselves; others prefer to arrive and let us take care of it. Either way works beautifully.

How private are my photos?
Completely private. Your images are never shared, shown, or posted anywhere without your explicit written permission. Your comfort and trust are everything to us.
Can I include my partner in the session?
Absolutely. Couples boudoir sessions are an intimate way to celebrate your connection. Just let us know ahead of time so we can plan lighting and posing to complement both of you.

What happens to the images after the session?

We professionally edit your selected images and store them securely. You’ll have a private gallery for viewing, selecting, and ordering your artwork.

Can I pay over time?
Yes — we offer flexible payment options and pre-session planning so you can budget comfortably. Many clients find this helps them invest in albums and wall art they truly love without financial stress.

How much should I expect to invest?
Boudoir sessions start with a session fee that covers your shoot time, creative direction, and editing. Most clients invest between $600–$1200 on their final artwork or albums. We’ll walk you through all options before booking.
When will I see my photos?
Typically within 1–2 weeks after your session. We’ll schedule a private reveal and ordering appointment, where you’ll see your images and choose your favorites.

Do you offer albums or wall art?
Yes — and they’re stunning. Many clients choose a custom-designed album or fine art print to celebrate their images. We’ll guide you through the best options for your home or personal collection.

I’ve never done anything like this before — is that okay?
Most of our clients are first-timers. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do — we’ll guide you every step of the way. It’s completely normal to feel nervous at first, but by the end, you’ll feel empowered and proud.

What’s the difference between boudoir and fine art portraiture?

They overlap beautifully. Boudoir celebrates sensuality and self-expression, while fine art portraits often focus on emotion, storytelling, or creative styling. Many sessions blend both — your personality determines the tone.

What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens! Just let us know as soon as possible. We’ll work with you to find a new date and ensure your session remains stress-free.
